Maryville 5K NoBo Group Graduates at Reindeer Run

Fleet Feet Knoxville's NoBo 5K training group worked and trained hard for 10 weeks for the final test - the Reindeer Run 5K. Even though the weather was cold and damp, that couldn't dampen the spirits of our group!

Roberta Brock, longtime training program member recently told us about her experience with the training program. Here's what she had to say: After hill training with Shahin, the hill at Olympia gym looks like child's play. If you have run the cross you will know the hill I'm talking about. All joking aside Fleet Feet has not only extended my life it has made it happier. I can say without being overly dramatic, is the NoBo program has completely changed my life. Five years ago I couldn't run from my kitchen to my couch. Today I run a ten mile run most weekends without blinking an eye. I'm in better shape now in my 40s than I was when I was 20. I call running my mental health plan. It gives me an outlet to rid my mind of stress and feel joy like I felt running as a child.

We are so happy to be able to touch lives of so many and continue to be inspired by all those runners that we meet. Are you in the Maryville area and want to get in on the fun? Click here to learn about our next training program in Maryville, which starts in February!
