IRONMAN Chattanooga

Group pic at Ironman Chattanooga

Several members of our triathlon training group competed in IRONMAN Chattanooga this past Sunday, and we're happy to report that they all finished with excellent times! Completing a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike, and a 26.2 mile run is no small accomplishment, and it was an incredible experience to see such an amazing display of athleticism from the Fleet Feet Knoxville group and the thousands of other triathletes who competed.

Shahin at Ironman ChattanoogaFor many of these Fleet Feet Knoxville training group members, this was their first iron distance triathlon, but after years of building up endurance racing shorter distances and months of training with Fleet Feet Knoxville coach and store owner Shahin Hadian, they were able to face this intimidating distance Sunday morning. Some of these triathletes have been with Fleet Feet Knoxville for years, starting at the very beginning with No Boundaries 5k all the way to Chattanooga! Even if completing an IRONMAN isn't on your bucket list, it's still inspiring to see so many people of all ages, sizes and walks of life accomplish this huge goal after so much hard work and perseverance.
