Firefighters 5K in Sweetwater a Beauty of a Race

On Saturday, September 7th, longtime Fleet Feet friends Craig and Callie Brackett once again hosted the Firefighters 5K in beautiful Sweetwater, TN. The race was held to help raise money to help pay for the North Monroe Volunteer Fire Department's new tanker. The tanker made it's appearance at the race to inspire the runners and for the kids to enjoy.  All along the route runners and walkers enjoyed Fire Trucks firefighters cheering everyone on. Keeping with the theme, race organizers had turnaround at a fire hydrant to send runners racing back to a nice downhill slope at the finish. Custom medals for age category winners and there was lots of good stuff to eat at the end. Craig and Callie bring two races to Sweetwater each year and we are grateful to have them as friends. We will see you next year!
