What:  Yoga for Runners  
When: Saturday April 20th at 8:30am
            Mondays at 7:15pm - April 29th thru June 10th (except May 27th Memorial Day)
Cost:  Saturday Session is FREE
            Mondays $8/session or $40 for all 6 sessions.
           (Training program participants pay $5/session.)

Join us for Yoga for Runners, brought to you by Anue Yoga apparel! Y4R is a yoga session designed for runners and athletes. Each session will last 60 minutes and are led by local Yoga instructor and avid runner, Amy Yunger!

Yoga for Runners - Amy Amy Yunger first stepped into a yoga studio in 2002 as a complement to her running. She was hooked from that point on and began teaching in 2005. In 2012, she was voted the #1 Yoga Instructor in Knoxville's Cityview Magazine Reader's Poll. Being a runner, Amy is all too familiar with ITBS, along with tight hammies and hip flexors so she tends to focus on strength and flexibility poses for runners.

 

Amy's classes are not your typical yoga class; no Om'ing here. She teaches a blend of Vinyasa and Power Yoga, combining sequences with pauses and a few chaturangas along the way.  Her classes offer both easier and more difficult versions of poses, along with some great tunes and creative sequences.  

 

Amy teaches a multilevel class that provides a balance of strength, flexibility and endurance, while uniquely challenging each participant in a playful way!

 

What to bring to a Yoga class: Yoga mat and a towel!  Wear loose clothing and bring a long sleeve shirt for warmth for rest poses after our dynamic practice. You may want to bring a towel for perspiration and to use as a prop. If you have blocks, straps or other props bring those, too but they are not required.
