Women Today Expo 5K

The first annual Women Today Expo 5K race will be held on Sunday March 16, 2008 at 8:00 am. The race is open to all ages, genders and paces - walkers welcome!

Course

The 5K course starts at the World’s Fair Park outside the Knoxville Convention Center, and runs through downtown area onto UT campus then loops back.

Restrictions

For safety reasons, in-line skates, head phones, skateboards, baby joggers/strollers and dogs will be prohibited from the race course.

Parking

Parking available in city owned lots. Closest to race start is the 11th Street Parking Garage at the corner of Clinch Ave and 11th St.

Race Charity

Proceeds from the race benefit the YWCA of Knoxville. Their mission is to create opportunities for women's growth, leadership and power in order to attain a common vision: peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all people. Visit their website at http://ywcaknox.com.

1-10, 11-14, 15-18,19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39,

40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+

Post Race

– Post race refreshments provided by Food City and SoBe Life Water drink.

– All race participants are automatically entered for door prizes provided by Fleet Feet Sports and Brooks to be given away after the race.

– Awards ceremony directly after race.
